MOSHER Sr, William T. 81 passed away Friday February 20th at Coyne Healthcare Center in Rockland after a long illness. William was the loving husband of Priscilla A. (Sabin) Mosher. Mr. Mosher was born on May 12, 1927 at his family’s home in Duxbury, MA to his parents the late William St. Clair Mosher and the late Elizabeth (Redmond) Mosher. William was raised in Duxbury, resided in Manomet and later called South Meadow Village in Carver home. A graduate of Duxbury High School Mr. Mosher later attended Miami University and went on to serve in the United States Navy aboard the USS Midway. William was employed for 36 years by Hendries of Milton as a long distance truck driver. Mr. Mosher enjoyed many things in life including gardening, golf and the early years at Duxbury Beach with his family. An avid sports fan, he routed greatly for his beloved Boston Red Sox. William was a member of the American Legion Duxbury Post 223 and was the last survivor of 13 children. In addition to his wife Priscilla he is survived by his 4 children, Darlene King of Kingston, William T. Mosher Jr. of Florida, Carrie Ayers of Plymouth, NH and Daniel Mosher of Florida. He was the devoted grandfather of 10 grandchildren and a loving great grandfather of 3 great grandchildren. In addition he leaves behind many nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to attend Visiting Hours at the Richard Davis Funeral Home, 373 Court St in Plymouth on Thursday February 26th from 6pm-8pm. A Funeral Service will be held at 11am on Friday February 27th at the funeral home with interment following the service in Mayflower Cemetery in Duxbury.
