Peter Medeiros Rego, age 79, of Somerset passed away February 20, 2009. Husband of Pauline (Aguiar) Rego and son of the late Jacinto Medeiros Rego and Maria (Cabral) Rego-Santos and stepson of the late John Santos. He was a Somerset resident since 2003 previously a Swansea resident for 30 years. He was a retired millwright at the Plymouth Rubber Company, a steward for the United Rubber Workers Union, a US Air Force Korean era veteran and a member of the American Legion. He enjoyed traveling, playing cards, reading and he loved pastry and chocolate.
Besides his wife of Somerset, he is survived by 5 children: Peter Rego and his wife Marcia of Fall River, Thomas Rego and his wife Yoshiko of White Plains, MD, Joyce Ali and her husband Ian of Somerset, David Rego of Boston and Brenda Rego and her fiancée Steven Kyle of Swansea; sister: Evelyn Narcizo of Fall River; step-brothers: John Santos of CT and Edward Santos of Fall River; 8 grandchildren: Peter A., Sarah, Meghan, Katherine, Alison, Mary Ann, Deirdre and Thomas. Brother of the late Arthur Rego and stepbrother of the late Mary Delores Fontes.
His private funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, Inc. 1521 N. Main St.
