Francisco M. Marrero, 57 years old, died Tuesday, Feb. 17, at Saints Medical Center in Lowell. He was the husband of the late Ruth (Morales) Marrero who died in 2000.
Born in Arecibo, Puerto Rico, he was a son of the late Francisco and Graciella (Iguina) Marrero and received his education in Puerto Rico. Mr. Marrero has lived here for the past forty years and worked as an electrician for Moran Electric. He also volunteered as a councilor for substance abuse victims at the Lowell House.
He is survived by two sons, Francisco M. Marrero and Francisco Marrero both of Lowell; three daughters, Diana Garcia and Jeanette Marrero both of Lowell and Arlene Wallace of Billerica; seven grandchildren; three brothers, Angelo, Tony and Adarluis Serrano all of Puerto Rico; a sister, Griselle Serrano of Puerto Rico and several nieces and nephews. He was also the Father of the late Edward Marrero who died in 2000.
MARRERO- Relatives and friends may call on Monday, Feb. 23, from 8:30 until 9:30 am at the MAHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 187 NESMITH ST. (Rte. 38). His Funeral Mass will be held at St. Patrick’s Church at 10 AM followed by burial in Westlawn II Cemetery. Arrangements are by the MAHONEY FUNERAL HOME.
