WORCESTER-Michael J Desavage 80 of 583 Cambridge Street died May 31 in The Hospice Residence 10 Judith Road.
He is survived by a brother James Desavage of Worcester. Four sisters, Anna Sliwoski, Aldona Desavage and Beatrice Wiwatowski all of Worcester,Virginia Laskowski of Eastham. Four other brothers Adolph Desavage and Joseph Desavage both of Worcester, John Desavage of Yarmouth and Stephen Desavage of Auburn and four other sisters Helen Desavage, and Julia Grimaldi both of Worcester Mary Delman of South Yarmouth and Irene Gough of Yarmouth all predeceased him. He also leaves nieces nephews grand nephews and grand nieces.He was born in Newton Mass. a son of John and Anna (Zuromski) Desavage and moved to Worcester at an early age. Educated in Worcester Schools, he later served in the Army during World War II.
Before he retired, Mr. Desavage worked as a Truck Driver/Fork Lift Operator for Atlas Distributors for many years.
He was a longtime member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish and was a member of Vernon Hill Post American Legion.
The funeral will be held Monday June 2 from The Henry-Dirsa Funeral Home 33 Ward Street with a Mass at 10am in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church 600 Cambridge Street.
