Obituary

John "Jay Mac" MacFeeley, age 49, died Thursday, Feb. 19 at his home in Dracut surrounded by his loving family after a long battle with cancer.

He was born in Lowell on August 3, 1959, the son of the late Elizabeth (MacFeeley) Robertson who died in 2003.

Until his illness, John was employed with Prime Steel Erecting in N. Billerica for 10 years and was a member of Local 7 Iron Workers of Boston. Prior to that time he was a welder and plumber with Wilmington Pump in Wilmington for many years.

Among his many interests, John was a big MOPAR fan and enjoyed watching NASCAR racing, traveling, camping, hiking, rollerblading, and motorcycling but most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his loving family and friends.

He is survived by his sisters and brothers, Eugene "Paul" Robertson of Dracut, Ann Christian and her husband, Kenneth of Tyngsboro, Patrick Robertson and Tammy Robertson, both of Lowell; his four nieces, Ashley Fitzler of Woburn, Beth Ann LeBlanc of Lawrence, Ann-Marie LeBlanc and Elaine LeBlanc both of Lowell; a grand-nephew, Alexander of Lawrence; also many dear friends. He was the brother of the late Bernard "Scott" Robertson who died in 2003 and Lorette Robertson who died in 2005.

Relatives and friends may call at the M. R. LAURIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 295 Pawtucket St., Lowell on Monday and Tuesday, Feb. 23 and 24 from from 4 to 8pm. Interment will be private. IN LIEU OF FLOWERS, memorial contributions may be made to the Merrimack Valley Hospice, 360 Merrimack St., Lawrence MA 01843.
