WORCESTER
Ruth L. (McCurn) Sutherland, 87, of Worcester died Thurs., Feb. 19 in the Autumn Village.
Her husband Dean T. Sutherland died in 1993. She leaves a daughter, Suzanne L. Warren and her husband Charles of Worcester and two grandchildren, Deana and Nicole. She was born in Worcester, daughter of John A. and May L. (Pratt) McCurn and graduated from Commerce High School and Worcester State Teachers College.
Ruth was a Teacher and later the Principal of Woodland Street School in West Boylston. She was a member of St. Joan of Arc Church and volunteered at Memorial Hospital.
A Funeral will be held Sat. Feb. 21, from Callahan & Fay Brothers Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle St. with a Mass at 10 AM in St. Joan of Arc Church, 570 Lincoln St. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Visiting Hours are Fri., Feb. 20, from 5 to 8 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the VNA Care Hospice, 120 Thomas St., Worcester, 01608.
