Obituary

Marilyn Mae (Bindloss) Dubreuil, 77, died peacefully in the early morning hours of Feb. 17, 2009, at Kindred Crossings Healthcare of New London.

She was the first born to Ellen and Ray Bindloss of East Lyme, Jan. 11, 1932. Her sisters are Betty (Bindloss) Mathis of Waterford and Bea (Bindloss) Keeney of East Lyme. Her brother, sisters, sisters-in-law, and brothers-in-law gave her 20 neices and nephews whom she loved.

She was predeceased by her cherished brother, "Tommy" Bindloss.

She married Alphonse Theodore Dubreuil Jr. of Waterford in 1949, and settled in Lyme in 1963 where they raised their five children, Karin Dubreuil of Waterford, Denise Munroe of Ocala, Fla., Bethany Clark of Old Lyme, Monica Giaconia of Hadlyme, and "Teddy" Dubreuil of Waterford.

After raising her children, Marilyn persued a career as a CNA. She loved her job. She worked many years at Deep River Convalescent Home, then for the Old Lyme VNA, and eventually private duty. She and her husband, Al, greatly enjoyed their times spent on Martha's Vineyard and in the Florida Keys.

"Gramma Marilyn" leaves 10 grandchildren, Heather Mitchell of Old Saybrook, India Monroe of Moodus, Matthew Rice of Old Lyme, Lucas Rice of Waterford, Ian Garbe of Niantic, Nathan, Jordan, and Jack Giaconia of Hadlyme, and Sam and Charlie Clark of Old Lyme.

The family extends their deepest gratitude to the entire staff of Kindred Crossings Healthcare for caring for Marilyn these last months.

Services will be private.

Any donation may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, a cause dear to Marilyn's heart because she lost both her father and brother to this disease
