Miriam (Goodman) Stavisky of West Palm Beach, FL and formerly of Revere and Chelsea passed away on Feb 16 in West Palm Beach, FL. She was 99 years old. Born in Boston, MA, Miriam was a resident of Revere for 10 years and moved to Chelsea where she lived 81 years before these last two years where she resided in West Palm Beach, Fl.
She was educated in the Chelsea school and Graduated from Chelsea High. Miriam is the former co-owner of the Cary Sq. Stationary Shop. She was a member of the Temple Emmanuel in Chelsea, Eastern Star, Hadassah, and the Jack Satter House Tenant’s Assoc.
Miriam was the beloved wife of the late Max Stavisky. Devoted mother of Norman and Ruth Stavisky, and the late Harold and Wendy Stavisky. Loving grandmother of Jayne and Goran Berggren, Paula and Joseph Ziskin, Adam and Liz Stavisky, Steven and Laurie Stavisky, and Andrew and Matthew Stavisky. She is also survived by 10 great grandchildren. Loving sister of Libby Ruby and the late Sarah Taylor, Teddy Goodman, and Juke Goodman.
A graveside service officiated by Rabbi Frank Waldorf of Chestnut Hill will be held at the Chevra Mishna Cemetery, Moray St. in Lynn on Sunday Feb 22nd at 2PM. Contributions in her memory may be made to The Jack Satter House Tenant’s Assoc. 420 Revere Beach Blvd. Revere, MA 02151.
