METHUEN – Emilia M. Dumais age 98 died Monday February 16, 2009 at the Nevin’s Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Methuen, MA.
Born and educated in Lawrence, she was the daughter of the late Emile and Lydia (Turcotte) Dumais. She was pre-deceased by her sisters Eva A. Dumais and Juliette B. Dumais with whom she lived. For 13 years she was the owner of Dumais Dry Goods Store located on Haverhill Street in Methuen and also worked for 23 years in the Arlington Mills. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish/St. Theresa’s Church in Methuen and was a member of the Rainbow Club. She was also active in the Methuen Senior Center and also the Twilights.
She is survived by her sister-in-law Simone P. Dumais of Lawrence, MA.
Godchildren Daniel Dumais, Denise Dumais, Jeanne Gentz, Richard Dumais and Robert Houle.
Several nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: Memorials can be made to Elder Services of Merrimack Valley 360 Merrimack Street BLDG 5 Lawrence, MA 01843 Family and friends may call on Wednesday from 4:00p.m. – 8:00p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 9:00a.m. at Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish/St. Theresa’s Church in Methuen with burial to follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Andover, MA.
