Mr. Frank Stein, age 92, died Sunday, February 15, 2009, at the Woburn Nursing Center, after a brief illness. Born in Hungary, Frank was the devoted son of the late Anna (Sterlein) & Gellert Stein.
Frank was raised in Hungary enduring a difficult childhood and early adult life. In the early 1950's, Frank went to California to start a new life. That is where he met his beloved late wife, Mary (Puglielli) Stein. They married and moved to Woburn in the early 1980's. Frank was a Police Officer in Hungary and worked as a meat cutter here in the United States. He loved to play the harmonica and sing to his loving wife.
In addition to his late wife Mary (Puglielli), Frank is survived by several late brothers and sisters in Hungary. He was the brother-in-law to Raffaela Magaletta and her husband Anthony Magaletta, Filomena Romano and her late husband Benny Romano, Anna Puglielli, and Joanne Puglielli all of Boston. Also survived by several loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the McLaughlin-Dello Russo Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St., Woburn, Wednesday at 9:30 AM. Followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Barbara Church, 138 Cambridge Rd. Woburn at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with the family Wednesday morning from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM. Services will conclude with burial at St. Michael Cemetery, Boston.
