John J. Walsh, 85, of Dartmouth died May 29, 2003 at St. Luke's Hospital after a brief illness.
He was the husband of Lucille Walsh and son of the late Thomas and Esther (Murphy) Walsh.
Mr. Walsh was born in Bolton, England, and had lived in New Bedford, Fairhaven and Dartmouth for most of his life.
He was a communicant of St. Julie Billiart Church in North Dartmouth.
Mr. Walsh was formerly employed with Berkshire Hathaway before becoming a Social Worker for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in New Bedford.
He enjoyed music and old movies.
Survivors include a brother, Joseph Walsh of Needham; and several nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Rose McCarthy, Mary T. Debrosse and Thomas Walsh.
