Betty Ann McDonald Bowen, 82, of Eustis, Florida, formerly of Tifton, died Thursday, February 12, 2009 in Eustis, Florida. Graveside funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, February 16, 2009, in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Dr. Wayne Roe will officiate with burial to follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
Ms. Bowen was born on November 11, 1926 in Ocilla and was the daughter of Carlyle McDonald and Juanita Meeks McDonald, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Lennon E. Bowen, Jr., who died in 2005. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She was a member of the Daughters of the Ameriucan Revolution and the United Daughters of the Confederacy.
Ms. Bowen is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Lennon E., III and Ann Bowen of Eustis, Florida, and Christopher Carlyle and Brenda Bowen of Brunswick; five grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
