Margaret L. (Boyle) Shaw, 92, of New Bedford died Thursday February 12, 2009 at St. Luke's Hospital after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Samuel Shaw.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Francis J. and Mary T. (O'Shaughnessy) Boyle, she had lived in New Bedford for most of her life.
She was a communicant of St. Lawrence Church.
Mrs. Shaw was formerly employed in the shipping department at Paul Modes and as a sales clerk at Star Store.
Survivors include a son, Samuel Shaw of New Bedford; a daughter, Ann L. Martin of Fairhaven; three grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Mary A. Boyle, Ellen Armonde, and Catherine Cziska.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10 AM in St. Lawrence Church. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.
