Lucille E. Holden of Central Street, Harrisville, died Thursday, February 12, 2009 at Miriam Hospital. She was the wife of James H. Holden. They were married for 49 years.
Born in North Providence, a daughter of the late Frederick V., Sr. and Elizabeth (Ward) Whiteside, she lived in North Providence and Pawtucket before moving to Harrisville.
Mrs. Holden was a graduate of St. Xavier, class of 1952. She was a payroll chief for the city of Pawtucket for many years until retirement. She was a lector and Eucharistic Minister at St. Joseph’s Church and St. Maria Goretti.
She is also survived by her children, James M. Holden of Rumford, Karin E. Marchessault of North Providence and Kathleen E. Norton Pawtucket, Kacey E. Richards of Harmony; her grandchildren, Joseph V. and Donald R. Marchessault; Grace, Faith and Hope Norton and her brothers, Frederick V. Whiteside of Pascoag and William J. Whiteside of Vero Beach, Florida and the late Edward Whiteside.
Funeral Tuesday at 9am from the ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Maria Goretti Church, 155 Power Road, Pawtucket.
