Obituary

Leonard Dill, 78, of Salem, NH died Tues. Feb. 10th at Catholic Medical Center in Manchester, NH.

Leonard was born and educated in Saugus, MA, the son of the late Catherine (Canty) and Louis Dill. He graduated from Saugus High School and the Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston. Leonard served in the US Navy during WW II.

Leonard retired from the Rockingham Race Track where he was Assistant General Manager.
He previously worked at GE in Lynn, MA and Avco in Lowell, MA. Leonard was a member of the VFW Post #8546 of Salem and a member of St. Joseph Church in Salem.

Leonard enjoyed playing pool, golfing and fishing. He loved horse racing and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his son Barry and his grandson Nicholas Arvanitis.

Wife of 54 years: Rita (Melanson) Dill of Salem, NH

Sons: Michael Dill & his wife Middy of Carlsbad, CA
William Dill of Derry, NH

Daughter: Maureen Arvanitis of Salem, NH

Grandchildren: Heather, AmyJane and Kimberly

Great Grandchildren: Kiersten and Stavros

A Funeral Mass will be Wed. Feb. 18th at 10AM at St. Joseph Church in Salem, followed by burial in Pine Grove Cemetery in Salem.

Calling hours will be Tues. from 4-8 PM at Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem, NH.
