Robinson, Mary Margaret (Canty), 82, of Marshfield, MA. died Feb 12, at the Jordan Hospital following a short illness. She was a 44 year resident of Marshfield, MA. Mary was the wife of the late Charles F. Robinson and the sister of the late Jack Canty of Woburn, MA. She is survived by her cousin Gloria McLellan of Bangor, ME and many nieces and nephews
Mary was born in Maine and grew up in Dorchester, MA. She graduated from Jeremiah E. Burke High School for Girls and worked as a secretary before marrying and starting her family. She worked at the Sheraton Tara Braintree for 30 years and retired in 2005.
Mary enjoyed people and loved to socialize. She spent most of her time with her large family and her many friends. She loved the beaches of New England and she loved to travel, especially to Hawaii.
She is the loving mother of nine children, Evelyn Pomella and her husband Edward of Marshfield. Kathleen Sachs and her husband Bob of Georgetown, Maureen Robinson of Marshfield, James Robinson and his wife Maureen, Kevin Robinson and his wife Tammy, Shawn Robinson and his wife Kim, all of Marshfield, Michael Robinson and his partner Michael of Dorchester, Eileen Holey and her husband Carlos of Hershey, PA, and Richard Robinson and his wife Stacy of Honolulu, HA. An Irish mother is a blessing from heaven, and she was a blessing to all.
She has 14 wonderful grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, who have brought her many hours of joy.
Funeral from the MacDonald Funeral Home 1755 Ocean St (Rte 139) Marshfield Saturday at 9:00 am followed by a Funeral Mass in St Ann by the Sea Church 591 Ocean Street Marshfield at 10:00 am
Visiting hours Friday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9
Interment will be in the Winslow Cemetery, Marshfield.
