Richard Paul Sims, 51, Clarksville, died Monday, February 9, 2009, at in Clarksville. The funeral will be held at 4 p.m. Friday at Faith Outreach Church on Windemere Drive with Jason Smith officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park, Nashville, TN with full military honors. Visitation will be from noon to 4 p.m. Friday at the church. A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at Woodlawn Memorial Park, Nashville. Neal-Tarpley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. He was born September 9, 1957 in East Liverpool, OH the son of the late Don Sims and Naomi Lunger Sims. Mr. Sims was a teacher at Northeast Middle School where he was co-sponsor of Jr. Civitan Club and leader of the Builders Club. He volunteered with Camp Rainbow. He is survived by his wife, Judy Sims, two sons, Josh Sims, Clarksville; and David Sims, Phoenix, AZ; two daughters, Rachel Sims Henley (Jeff), and Elizabeth Dundurand Maberry (Aron), Clarksville; two brothers, Mark Sims, West Virginia; and Terry Sims, Ohio; two sisters, Starr Kelley, Maine; and Crystal McElhaney, Georgia; four grandchildren, Austyn, Victoria, April, and Emerie.
