Sean C. Bailey, 43, of Acworth, New Hampshire, formerly of Mansfield passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday February 10, 2009 at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, New Hampshire.
Born in Boston, MA on June 11, 1965 he was a loving son of Richard A. and Kathleen E. (Norton) Bailey of Mansfield.
He spent his early childhood living in Norwood till later when his family moved to Mansfield where he grew up. He was a 1984 graduate of King Phillip High School in Wrentham.
A lifelong car enthusiast and talented auto body specialist, Sean was a self-employed car restoration professional and was extremely proud of his accomplishments, especially his completely restored 1965 Pontiac GTO. He was currently in the process of restoring an acquired 1931 Hudson. In addition to his love of cars his other hobbies included oil painting, listening to music and playing the guitar. A resident of Acworth for the past 9 years he was a former longtime resident of Mansfield.
In addition to his loving parents he is survived by his dear daughter Eilis K. Bailey of Ellenboro, North Carolina. He was the devoted brother of Robyn M. Ceckowski and her husband Peter of Norton, Richard S. “Rick” Bailey, Sr. and his wife Maureen of Sharon and David B. Bailey and his wife Betty of St. Augustine, Florida. He was the cherished nephew of Virginia Johnston of Norwood and a special uncle to Ricky, Jr. Michael, Chris, Stephen and Kevin.
A Memorial Service, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Tuesday February 17th at 7:00 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home 55 North Main St. Mansfield.
Visiting hours will be held prior to the memorial services on Tuesday from 5-7 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home
In lieu of flowers, Sean’s family has requested that donations in his memory be made to Make- A -Wish Foundation of Massachusetts One Bullfinch Place, 2nd Floor Boston, MA 02114.
