Funeral Service in the J. Frank Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Friday at 11:30 am. Burial in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne at 1:15 pm. Visitation Friday 10:30 to 11:30 am.
Obituary
Mr. Burbank died Monday at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, after a brief illness. Born and raised in East Bridgewater, son of the late Harold and Mary (Feeney) Burbank. Attended E. Bridgewater Schools. Served in WW II in the US Navy on the US Shannon. Recipient of the Asiatic Pacific Area Ribbon and also received 2 bronze stars. For many years he was employed as a presser inthe garment industry in the Brockton and Stoughton area. He enjoyed antiques especially glassware. He had a space at the Marshfield Fair for over 40 years.
Survived by 2 sons, James R. Burbank of Attleboro and Edward W. Burbank of Brockton, a daughter Annmarie Curtis of Holbrook, 10 grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, 2 brothers Bernard Burbank of Brockton, James Burbank of Brockton, a sister Madeline Holmes of Florida.
