Robert K. Burns, 84, died Monday, February 9, 2009, at the Ellis Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Norwood. He was the husband of the late Jean (Paszkowski) Burns. Born in Haverford, PA, he was a longtime resident of Randolph. He was a WWII Veteran of the US Army, earning the rank of Corporal. Mr. Burns worked for American Science & Engineering Company in Cambridge for many years, retiring several years ago.
He is survived by his nieces Rhonda Bagtaz of Stoughton and Laura Lindelof of Brockton. He was the brother in law of Mimi Burns of Stoughton. He was the great uncle of Brian Lindelof and Brad Lindelof both of Brockton, Jym Bagtaz of Wilmington and Nikki Bagtaz of Stoughton. He was the longtime companion of Dorothy Clark of Randolph. He was predeceased by his brother Oliver James Burns and his nephew Brad Burns. He is also survived by one great great nephew.
Funeral Prayers will be held in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton Thursday, February 12 at 9:30 AM. Visiting Hours Wednesday 4-7 PM. Burial will take place at VA National Cemetery in Bourne. Donations in Bob’s name may be made to Alzheimer’s Assn, 311 Arsenal St., Watertown, 02472.
