Joseph Machado Jr. of Fall River, age 74. Passed away Feb. 8, 2009. Son of the late Joseph & Mary (Souza) Machado. He was a U.S.Army Veteran of the Korean War. Before retiring, he worked as a Construction Laborer.
Survivors include his beloved friend Margaret Abreau; 1 Daughter:
Debra A. & Raymond Lavoie. 6 Siblings: George Machado & Delores Michaels both of Fall River, Thomas, Richard, & Edward Machado, & Elsie Monteiro all of Westport. 2 Grandchildren: Ryan & Jacqueline Lavoie. Several nieces & nephews. He was also brother of the late Frank Machado.
PRIVATE funeral will take place from the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME, 1521 N. Main St.,Wednesday with visitation from 10 AM-12 Noon service in the funeral home. Interment in Oak Grove Cemetery. There are no other calling hours. In lieu of flowers, Donations to Hospice & Palliative Care.
