Marion (Shea) SutcliffeMarion (Shea) Sutcliffe, 84, of So. Dennis and Natick formerly of Newton, died suddenly Sun May 25 at St. Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford.Born in Washington D.C. she graduated from Newton High School. She received her BA in Music from the Boston Conservatory in 1961 and her Masters in Education in 1969 from Boston State Teachers College. She taught third grade in the Milford Public Schools and fifth grade music East Bridgewater Public Schools. She was one of the founders of the Boston Women’s Symphony, and she had worked as a real estate developer for many years. She was inducted into Who’s Who in the East in 1993, Who’s Who of American Women in 1995 and Who’s Who in America in 1997.She is survived by her husband of 62 years James M. Sutcliffe, her daughter Jill Marion Sutcliffe of So. Yarmouth, her granddaughter Christina Gimenez and her great grandson Jason. She is also survived by her sisters Eleanor Bloom of Bloomfield CT, and Norma D. Black of Natick. She was the sister of the late Dorothy Knox.A funeral service will be held on Fri. May 30 in St. John’s Episcopal Church 297 Lowell Ave. Newtonville. Interment will follow at Newton Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held in the Eaton & Mackay Funeral Home 465 Centre St. Newton Corner on Thurs from 2-5 PM.
