Nicholas V. "Chico" Limberopoulos...life time resident of Lowell
Nicholas V. "Chico" Limberopoulos age 77 died at Saints Medical Center on Feb. 6, 2009 after a long illness. He was the beloved husband of Hermine (Economou) Limberopoulos to whom he was married for 54 years.
He was born in Lowell, March 12, 1931, son of the late Christine Athanasopoulos and Vasilios Limberopoulos. He was a graduate of Lowell High School and Northeastern University where he received a bachelors degree in pharmacy. Nicholas owned Limby's Pharmacy in Lowell and practiced pharmacy until he became disabled.
Nicholas was an avid sports fan who also enjoyed hunting, traveling with his loving wife Hermine and enjoying his condo at Hampton Beach, N.H.
Nicholas was the former president of the Greater Lowell Pharmaceutical Association, years 1963 and 1964. He was also an order of the AHEPA and the Greek American Legion. Nicholas was a member of the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Lowell.
Along with his loving wife Hermine, he is survived by his daughter Betty Brown and her husband Randy Brown of Lowell; a son William N Limberopoulos and his wife Joyce Limberopoulos of Pelham, N.H; a grandson, Nicholas Limberopoulos of Pelham, N.H; several step-grandchildren; a sister Fotine Ntapalis of Lowell and her children Christine and Nicholas Ntapalis. He was also the brother of the late Peter Limberopoulos.
Friends may call at the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Avenue, DRACUT, on Tuesday from 4 until 8 PM. His funeral will be held from the funeral home on Wednesday at 9 AM, followed by his Funeral Service at 10 AM at Holy Trinity Church Greek Orthodox Church in Lowell. Interment in Westlawn Cemetery in Lowell.
