WORCESTER___Richard Linga, 64, formerly of 61 Fox St, died Friday, February 6, 2009 in UMASS Memorial Medical Center, 119 Belmont St.
He leaves two sons, Richard Linga, Jr., and John W. Linga, both of Worcester as well as, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Czeslaw Linga in 1978 and Jerzy Linga in 1994. Richard was born in Wilno, Poland, a son of Joseph C. and Maria (Browko) Linga and immigrated to Worcester in 1961.
Mr. Linga worked as a bartender at B & L Café for three years before retiring in 1978. Previously he worked at Henry’s Bakery for 10 years. He was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Church.
The funeral will be held on Monday, February 9, from HENRY-DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward Street, with a Mass at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward St. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery.
