Helen F. (O'Connell) DeLuca - Of Wellesley, February 6, 2009. Beloved wife of Eugenio DeLuca. Devoted mother of Elio John DeLuca. Daughter of the late John and Ruth O’Connell. Sister of Margaret Wynne and Kathleen Turnbull. Sister-in-law of Leoncio and Edda Pais and Virginia Cutulle. Helen was a loving wife, mother, sister and friend; but she also enjoyed an accomplished career as Secretary to the Director of Rodman Laboratory at the U.S. Army Watertown Arsenal, the Director of NASA Cambridge, and the Dean of Boston College School of Management. The happiest times of her service came as Secretary to the Principal of St. Paul School in Wellesley and for the Director of the Rivers School Conservatory in Weston. Helen succeeded in life with her gentle and caring manner. To know Helen was a gift.
Funeral from the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 477 Washington St., (Rt.16) WELLESLEY, Tuesday at 9 AM. Funeral Mass in St. Paul’s Church, Wellesley, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting hours Monday 4-8 PM. Private interment Woodlawn Cemetery, Wellesley.
