Jean M. Copeland, 56, of Amesbury, MA died February 5, 2009 in Newburyport, MA. Jean was born in Sayre, PA on December 3, 1952, daughter of Harlan and Sarah (Henry) MacMorran. She was raised in Sayre, PA and was a 1970 graduate of Sayre High School. She had more recently resided in Amesbury, MA and Derry, NH. During the 1980’s she had been employed as a labor and delivery nurse at Parkland Medical Center in Derry.
She is survived by three daughters, Sarah Rowe and her husband Bryan of Raymond, NH, Anne Copeland of Clearwater, FL, and Holly Copeland of Derry, one son, Vito Copeland of Manchester, NH, four grandchildren, three sisters, Sheila Crandall, Linda McElveen, and Nancy Singer, one brother, Scott MacMorran, also many nieces and nephews. Jean was previously married to Scott Copeland of Derry.
Following cremation, calling hours were held on Tuesday February 10, 2009 from 3 – 5pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Planned Parenthood, 4 Birch St., Unit 6, Derry, NH 03038.
