Lois Davis Sims, 97, Clarksville, died Wednesday, February 4, 2009, at Clarksville Manor. The funeral will be held at 3 pm Saturday at Neal-Tarpley Chapel with Rev. Louie Montoya officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday and from 2 p.m. until the time of the service Saturday at the funeral home. Neal-Tarpley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. She was born July 28, 1911 in Montgomery County daughter of the late John Mose Davis and Una Gay Kennedy Davis. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Sidney Sims, a son, William C. Sims, Sr, two daughters, Marian Gay Pearce, and Margaret Ann Sims. Survivors include two daughters, Ruby Knoll and Peggy Reed both of Clarksville; a brother, Leroy Davis, Clarksville; a sister, Thelma Kelly, Mississippi; fourteen grandchildren, numerous great and great-great-grandchildren.
