Obituary


Mrs. Virginia L. (Perry) Carnes, of Raynham, died Wednesday, February 4 in Mor-
ton Hospital following a period of failing health. She was the former wife of Edward L. Carnes, Jr. She was born 76 years ago in Boston, the daughter of the late Harold and Jennie (Jam) Perry. She was educated in Brockton and had been a Raynham resident for most of her life. Prior to her retirement, she had been employed as a mental health assistant at the Paul A. Dever State School for 30 years. Mrs. Carnes enjoyed reading, her pet cat, and spending time with her family. She was a communicant of St. Ann’s Church in Raynham.
She leaves:
2 sons: John Carnes of Maine
Edward L. Carnes and his wife, Anita of Raynham
2 daughters: Mary L. Hazen of Taunton
Debra A. Marrotte and her husband, Robert of Raynham
1 sister: Florence Willis of Easton
10 grandchildren
12 great grandchildren
several nieces and nephews
Mrs. Carnes was also the mother of the late Patricia E. Bousquin of Taunton.
Funeral services will be held from The Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay Street
on Monday, February 9 at 9:00 A.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow in St. Ann’s
Church at 10:00 A.M. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Taunton. Relatives and
friends are invited to attend. Visiting Hours will be held on Sunday, from 5:00 to 8:00
P.M.
