WORCESTER-Frederick W. LaMonda, 50, of Worcester, died Tuesday, February 3rd at home after a long battle with lung cancer. He leaves his wife of 23 years, Sheryl Ann (Jackson) LaMonda; two daughters, Caitlin Noelle LaMonda and Megan Ann LaMonda, both of Worcester; Alicia Victoria Jackson, whom he thought of as a daughter; three sisters, Nancy A. Smith and her husband Lonnie of Lancaster, CA, Karen J. Ritchie and her husband Brad of Spencer, and Susan M. Vinton and her husband Robert of Worcester; and nephews and nieces.
He was born in Whitinsville, the son of Frederick N. and Marian (Stone) LaMonda and graduated from Worcester Boys Trade School. Mr. LaMonda was a sheet metal worker for many years for Worcester County Refrigeration, before retiring due to illness. He was an avid Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots fan and enjoyed camping.
Calling hours are Saturday, February 7th from 2:00 until 4:00 P.M. in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue. THE FAMILY REQUESTS THAT NO FLOWERS BE SENT AND THOSE ATTENDING REFRAIN FROM WEARING ANY COLOGNE OR PERFUME.
