John G. “Crow” Chambers, a life long resident of Bridgewater died peacefully at home after a lengthy illness. He was age 58. John was born in Middleboro and grew up in Bridgewater. After graduating from Bridgewater-Raynham High School in 1969 he joined the Marines. He was a Lance Corporal and served in Vietnam. After his return from the war he became a finish carpenter working on residential homes. In 1984 he married his longtime girlfriend Ann and they raised three beautiful girls in Bridgewater. They were married for almost 25 years. John loved the outdoors and traveling to his time share in NH with his family. John’s daughters said their father was the best teacher they will ever have. John was the devoted son of Mary C. (Ladino) and the late John H. Chambers. He is was the beloved husband of Ann E. (Farrell) of Bridgewater. Loving father of Mary E, Amy L, and Michaela J. all of Bridgewater. Brother of Maryann Chambers of PA, Patricia J. Chambers of Bridgewater, and James H. Chambers of New Bedford. Also survived by his Godson Christopher, many nieces, nephews and friends. A funeral service will be held on Fri. Feb. 6 at 10:00 am at the Prophett-Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 98 Bedford St., Bridgewater, MA. Interment at Holy Family Cemetery, Rockland. Visiting hours Thurs. from 4-8 pm.
