Obituary

Paul V. Boucher, 47, of Rochester died May 24, 2003 at home unexpectedly.

He was the son of Hormidas R. "Butch" and Doris (Barrett) Boucher.

Mr. Boucher was born in Acushnet and lived in New Bedford several years before moving to Rochester in 1970.

He was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church in Rochester.

Mr. Boucher was formerly employed as a commercial fisherman and skipper on several vessels in the New Bedford fleet. He recently received his Merchant Mariners License from Massachusetts Maritime Academy.

He enjoyed fishing, camping and spending time with his son and family.

Survivors include his parents; a son, Jarred P. Boucher, and his mother, Lynn Crosson, both of New Bedford; a brother, Ronald Boucher, and his wife Lucille, of Rochester; 3 sisters, Dorine Westgate, and her husband Arthur, and Susan Daniel, and her husband Roy, all of Rochester and Sharon McDuffy, and her husband Robert, of Wareham; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was the grandson of the late Samuel and Laura Barrett and Victor and Laura Boucher.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Memorial Mass in St. Rose of Lima Church, Rochester, Thursday, May 29th at 10 AM.

Visiting hours are omitted.

Interment private.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Paul V. Boucher Scholarship Fund, c/o Compass Bank, 58 County St., New Bedford, MA 02744.
