Jennie Razin (Shapiro) of Revere and formerly of Chelsea passed away on Feb 1, 2009 at the Chelsea Jewish Nursing Home, she was 93 years old. Born in Chelsea she was a resident of Chelsea for many years. Jennie attended the Chelsea schools and graduated from Chelsea High School in 1933. She retired as a bookkeeper for an accounting firm. Jennie was a life member of the Chelsea Chapter City of Hope and Life member of the Auxiliary Maimonides school of Brookline. Jennie was also a Life member of the Orange Street Synagogue Ladies Auxiliary, Chelsea Hebrew Day School life member, and a life member Chelsea Jewish Nursing Home Auxiliary. Jennie was the wife of the late Harry J. Razin, she was the devoted mother of Stuart Razin and his wife Marsha of Israel. Loving sister of Norma Siegel of Revere, and the late Mary Black, Phillip Shapiro, Ethel Hershberg, and Ruth Shapiro. Loving grandmother of Ely Razin and his wife Ziporah, Yonina Tenenbaum and her husband Brian, and Gidon Razin and his wife Mimi. Jennie is also survived by 17 great grandchildren. A chapel service will be held on Wednesday Feb 4, at 10 AM at the Torf Funeral Chapel, 151 Washington Ave., Cary Sq., Chelsea. Memorial observance Wednesday and Thursday 2-5 and 7-9 PM, and then Friday until 3PM, Saturday evening 7-9 PM at the Jack Satter House, Revere 9th floor. Sunday and Monday 2-5 and 7-9 PM at Norma Siegel’s residence at the Jack Satter House Apt. 526.
