Joseph A. Morton, 50, of Fort Lauderdale Fl, formerly of Abington, died at his home in Florida, after a heart attack. Joe was the son of Sandy (George) (Morton) Gallagher of Bradenton, Fl. and the late Joseph Morton. Joe was raised in Abington and was 1976 graduate of Abington High School .He has been a resident of FT Lauderdale Fl. for the past seven years, where he was the Concessions Manager at the Broward County Performing Art Center.
In addition to his mother Sandy he is survived by his brother John Morton and his wife Terry of Rockland, his sister Terri Spillane and her husband Jamie of Whitman ; also his nieces and nephews, Crissa and Shay Morton, Michael Lynch, Rachel and Jarod Spillane.
His memorial service will be held on Thursday February 5th at 10:30AM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel Plymouth Street (Rt. 58 at the rotary) Whitman. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to the American Heart Assoc. 20 Speen St. Framingham, MA 01701.
