Obituary

In Taunton, January 30, 2009 Madeline E. (Sabsch) Heinig died in Morton Hospital at the age of 90 after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Alvin Heinig and daughter of the late Paul & Lena (Berthold) Sabsch. Madeline is survived by her daughter Paula Costa of Taunton. Madeline was born in Raynham, a graduate of THS class 1936 and later from the first graduating class of the LPN program in Taunton Vocational High School. Madeline was the former head nurse at the Prospect Street Nursing Home in Taunton. She also worked at Taunton Nursing Home and in the Taunton School Dept. as a baker-cafeteria worker. Madeline was a communicant of St. Thomas Episcopal Church. She enjoyed crocheting and was dedicated to her family her entire life. Madeline also leaves her grandchildren Alisa L. Costa of Cumberland, RI. and Leigh-Anne Drewniak of Taunton. Her great grandchildren Justin P. Drewniak of Taunton and Stephanie L. Drewniak of Taunton. Her late siblings Laura Wilson, Paul Sabsch and August Sanborn. A funeral home service will be celebrated on Sat. Feb. 7th at 11am. in the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St. Taunton, MA. Visiting hours will be held one hour prior to the service from 10-11am. Interment in Mayflower Hill Cemetery in Taunton.
