WORCESTER____Doris O. (Lacroix) Roy, 82, formerly of 91 Farrar Ave., died Saturday May 24, in St. Francis Home, 101 Plantation St.
Her husband of 51 years, Alfred E. Roy, Jr., died in 1992.She leaves two sons, Philip A. Roy of Shrewsbury and Alfred E. Roy of Worcester; a daughter, Elaine F. Boucher of Auburn; six grandchildren, Christopher P. Boucher, Brian J. Boucher, Michael J. Boucher, Timothy P. Roy, Ashlyn Roy and Tanner Roy; and five great-grandchildren. A daughter, Jeanne M. Roy of Worcester died in 1949. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Noah L. and Roseanna (Foisy) Lacroix and lived here all her life.
Mrs. Roy was a homemaker. She observed her 82nd birthday on Friday.She was a member of St. Josephs Church and its former Ladies of Ste. Anne Sodality.
The funeral will be held on Tuesday May 27 from Dirsa-Morin Funeral Home, 298 Grafton St., with a Mass at 9:30 a.m. in Notre Dame Church, 5 Salem Square at Worcester Common. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours in the funeral home are Monday May 26 from 5 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimers Disease Association, 36 Cameron Ave., Cambridge, Ma., 02140.
