
Elizabeth “Betty” H. (Noon) Provasoli, 86, of Andover, died peacefully, February 1, 2009, at the Kaplan House, Hospice of the North Shore in Danvers.
She was born on September 1, 1922, in Milford, New Hampshire, daughter of the late Frederick and Mary (Hodgson) Noon.
During WWII she trained as a civilian aircraft hydraulics mechanic and worked at Grenier Field in Manchester, New Hampshire.
In 1999, Elizabeth and her late husband, John, became affiliated members in the Order of St. Augustine, and she was an active and devoted member of the church.
Elizabeth was known for her love of gardening, baking and knitting. She was a selfless caretaker of family and friends, and will be sadly missed.
Elizabeth was predeceased by her husband of 63 years, John, and leaves two sons, John J. Provasoli, Jr. and his wife Janet E. of Salem, New Hampshire and Joseph R. Provasoli and Betty Dayyo of Phoenix, Arizona; two daughters, Debra P. and her husband Todd D. Merrill of Andover and Cheryl A. Provasoli of Bradford; two granddaughters, Elizabeth A. and her husband Daniel A. DiBella of Salem, New Hampshire, and Emily N. Traynor of Bradford; and several nieces and nephews.
Her Funeral Mass was celebrated in St. Joseph Church, Highvale Lane, Andover, Thursday, February 5, at 10 AM. Many relatives and friends were in attendance. Calling hours were held in the Burke-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 390 North Main Street, Andover, Wednesday, February 4, from 4 to 7 PM. Burial was in Spring Grove Cemetery, Andover.
