Obituary

Carl P. Moisan, 74, of Windham, NH, died Thursday, January 29, 2009 in the Lahey Clinic in Burlington, MA. Mr. Moisan was born in Lowell, MA on December 2, 1934, a son of the late William J. and Irene (Sawyer) Moisan. He was a resident of Windham for the past six years, formerly living in Hudson, MA and Derry, NH. Mr. Moisan was a graduate of Keefe Academy in Lowell, MA and Lowell Tech, Class of 1963. He served in the US Navy from 1954 - 1958. Mr. Moisan had been employed as a systems analyst for several companies in the Massachusetts area. He was a scoutmaster with the Boy Scouts of America. Mr. Moisan attended St. Mark’s Church in Londonderry. He enjoyed traveling, camping, skiing, dancing, playing cards and spending time with his grandchildren and family.
He is survived by his wife, Gertrude (Madden) Moisan of Windham; three sons, Karl J. Moisan and his wife Susan of Yardley, PA, Timothy W. Moisan and his wife Julie of Anchorage, AK, and Andrew J. Moisan and his wife Christine of Sterling, MA; six grandchildren; two brothers, Donald Moisan of Lowell, MA, and Leo Moisan of Salem, NH; one sister, Vivian Desmarais of Yarmouthport, MA; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours were held on Monday, February 2nd from 4 - 7pm in Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Tuesday at 10:00am in St. Mark's Church, corner of Mammoth Rd. and South Rd., Londonderry, with cremation following. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Parkinson’s Disease Assoc., Parkinson's Plaza, 135 Parkinson Ave., Staten Island, NY 10305.
