Alice L. Macomber, 83

Alice L. Macomber, a lifelong resident of Mansfield passed away unexpectedly on Thursday January 29, 2009 at home.
Born in Mansfield, MA on July 22, 1925 she was a loving daughter of the late Clarence L. and Valencia E. (Rushton) Macomber.
Alice grew up in Mansfield, was educated in Mansfield public schools and was a graduate of Mansfield High School. She was a retired Secretary having worked at the L.G. Balfour Co. in Attleboro for 44 faithful years before retiring at age 62.
An avid bowler, Alice enjoyed watching television shows, especially those pertaining to bowling events and game shows. She enjoyed walking and spending time with her family.
She was a member of the Gold Dusters Club at L.G. Balfour and for many years looked forward to participating in the Cardiac Rehabilitation Program at Sturdy Memorial Hospital with her friends.
She was the dear sister of Frederick L. Macomber of North Carolina and the late Clarence E. Macomber, Albert R. Macomber and Ethel L. Harnden. Alice is also survived by her devoted 6 nieces, 3 nephews and many grand nieces and nephews and their families.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a graveside service to be held on Friday February 6th at 2:00 P.M. at the Spring Brook Cemetery in Mansfield.
Visiting hours are omitted and in lieu of flowers Alice’s family has requested that donations in her memory be made to Nine Lives of Norton P.O. Box 548 Norton, MA 02766.
