Mr. Stanley “Stash” F. Lukasewski, of Taunton, died Tuesday, January 27 in the
Life Care Center of Raynham following a lengthy illness. He was the husband of
Laura C. (Gilbert) Lukasewski. He was born 72 years ago in Taunton, the son of the
late Stanley F. and Edith C. (Beaulieu) Lukasewski. He was educated in Taunton and
was a graduate of the former Msgr. James Coyle High School. He received his Bachelors
and Masters Degrees in Engineering from Northeastern University in Boston. Prior to
his retirement, Mr. Lukasewski had been employed as an executive electrical engineer
for Raytheon Corp. in Portsmouth, R.I. for 9 years. He had previously been employed
as an engineer for the Hazelton Corp. of Braintree for a number of years. He enjoyed
gambling, particularly greyhound racing, horse racing, playing cards and sports. He also
enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, and took great pride in his grandchil-
dren. He was a communicant of the Holy Rosary Church.
In addition to his wife, he leaves:
1 son: Craig F. Lukasewski and his wife Rita of Brookline
3 daughters: Lisa M. Duarte and her husband William III of Berthoud, Col.
Rachel P. Tolan and her husband Scott of Taunton
Lynn E. Costa and her husband Derrick of Raynham
1 brother: Richard Lukasewski of Cape Cod
7 grandchildren: Jared A. Abdallah, Janelle L. Duarte, William Duarte IV, Nicolas S.Tolan, Paige M. Tolan, Mia L. Costa, and Tristan D. Costa
several nieces and nephews
Funeral services will be held from The Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay Street,
on Saturday, January 31 at 9:00 A.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow in the Holy
Rosary Church at 10:00 A.M. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Relatives and
friends are invited to attend. Visiting Hours will be held on Friday, from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. Expressions of sympathy in his memory may be made to the charity of your choice.
