Hannon, William J., Jr. Age 80, of Naples, FL., formerly of Roslindale, January 25, 2009. Born in Boston, January 5, 1929, son of the late William J. & Cecilia V. (Lynch) Hannon. His wife Ruth precedes him in death. He is survived by his children, William of Verona, Italy, Robert of Brockton, Susan Hannon of Pawtucket, RI and Barbara Ann Owens. Brother of Claire Brown and her husband Harold of Portland, ME, Joan Carver and her husband Joseph of Walpole, Constance Byrne of West Roxbury, Frances Keiran of Dedham, Mary Pepi and her husband Vernon of Walpole, Kathryn Hannon of Norwood, Dr.Ruth Hannon and her husband Charles Franich of Milton and the late Charles Hannon and his wife Theresa of Orlando, FL. He is also survived by his dear friend, Barbara L. Clark of Naples, FL. as well as 10 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Church 169 Cummins Highway, Roslindale on Monday February 2 at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are invited. Interment Blue Hill Cemetery. Employed for 23 years as a pressman for the Boston Globe. Worked for all of the Boston Newspapers and was a member of Boston Newspaper Printing Pressman’s Union Local # 3.
