Obituary

Edward A. Rhilinger Jr. of Bridgewater died peacefully at Tufts Medical Center while surrounded by his loving family on Sun. Jan.25 after a year long battle with cancer. He was age 54. Edward was born in Quincy and grew up in Wollaston. He attended Quincy schools and was a graduate of Quincy Vocational Technical High School. After getting married he and his wife Isabel moved to Bridgewater where they raised their children. Edward loved his job with Roche Brothers Super Market. He worked for over 25 years and was a grocery receiver. He was a Patriots season ticket holder for 15 years and he loved to go with his son, Edward III. Edward loved his 2005 black on black mustang which he enjoyed taking trips in with his wife to Plymouth and the Cape. He also enjoyed cooking and spending time with his family. He also served in the US Navy. Edward is survived by his loving wife Isabel M. (Flynn) Rhilinger. He was the devoted father of Edward A. Rhilinger III , Jacqulene I. , and Amber J. all of Bridgewater. He was the son of the late Rita A. (Maycock) Rhilinger. Brother of Patti Spacone of Bridgewater, Kathleen (Pinkie) Demasi of Ayer, Barbara Deacon of Weymouth and the late Rita Styles. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends. A funeral home service will be held on Sat. Jan. 31 at the Prophett-Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 98 Bedford St., Bridgewater at 10:00 am. Interment Mt. Prospect Cemetery, Bridgewater. Visiting hours Fri. from 4-8pm.
