Stoughton Resident,formerly of Boston, 80 years,passed away on Tuesday May 20,2003,At the Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton. She was also a native of theRepublic of Dominica in the British West Indies. She was the daughter of the late Nile and Philomen (Charles) Maxime, and wife of the late Owen “Morty” George.
She was employed as both a Bakers Assistant and a Domestic Housekeeper in variousBakeries and Residences. She was closely associated with the Bread Outlets and Eric’s Bakery.
She loved Classical and Jazz Music. She also enjoyed movies of all types. She was a very loving, caring mother, Grandmother, Great- Grandmother and sister. Her smile was Contagious!
She is survived by her loving daughter, Joan (Theresa) White, of Stoughton, with whom she made her home. Also survived by her three sisters: Olivette Faustin, Gretta Roberts,Rosemary Jean-Jacques, and her two brothers: Elwin Roberts and Reginald Faustin all of the Republic of Dominica in the British West Indies. Loving Grandmother of Joanne White, Garvin White, Philomarie White, Malcolm White and Great-Grandmother of Jahmare White, all of Stoughton. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Her Funeral will be from the Sheehan Funeral Home, 115 Monk Street (off Rt. 138 at the First Federal Savings Bank ) Stoughton , on Saturday May 24,2003 at 8:00 A.M.Followed by a Funeral Mass in the Immaculate Conception Church, 122 Canton Street,Stoughton, at 9:00 A.M. Interment will be private. Visiting hours are on Friday from6-9 P.M.
