Francis X. Martin of North Hill Needham, formerly of Sandwich died on Tuesday, January 27, 2099 at the Skilled Nursing Facility at North Hill. He was 92 years old. Born in Boston, he was the son of the late Francis E. and Mary Agnes (Riley) Martin. Francis was raised in Jamaica Plain and West Roxbury. He was a graduate of Suffolk University Law School. He was a lawyer for Aetna Insurance Company for many years until his retirement. In his retirement, he and his late wife Virginia moved to Sandwich where he maintained a small private law practice. Mr. Martin was a former board member of the Sandwich Glass Museum. After the death of his wife in 2004, Mr. Martin returned to Needham and resided at North Hill until his death. He was the beloved husband of the late Virginia (Casey) Martin and the brother of Ruth Lucas of Coconut Creek, FL and the late Marie Quigley formerly of West Roxbury. He is also survived by his niece and nephews, Mary A. Quigley of Arlington, Gerard P. Quigley of Placitas, NM and Lawrence W. Quigley of South Boston. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. Joseph Church, 1382 Highland Ave Needham on Friday, January 30 at 10:00 AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in West Roxbury. In lieu of flowers donations in Francis’ name may be made to Saint Francis House 39 Boylston Street, Boston, MA 02116.
