Obituary

James B. Landry, 79, of Mattapoisett died January 26, 2009 at home after a long illness.
He was the husband of Maureen (Mannion) Armstrong-Landry.
Born in Everett, MA, the son of the late Burton and Eileen (Queenan) Landry, he lived in Everett and Woburn most of his life before retiring to Mattapoisett in 1997.
Mr. Landry was a communicant of St. Anthony's Church.
He was formerly employed as a design engineer with Stone & Webster and later with Charles T. Main.
Mr. Landry was a licensed pilot.
Survivors include his wife; 3 sons, James Landry, Jr., Thomas Landry and Frank Landry, all of Woburn; 2 daughters, Bonita Landry and Julie Mahoney, both of Woburn; 2 step-sons, Raymond Armstrong and his wife Judy of East Bridgewater and John Armstrong and his wife Noelle of Bridgewater; a step-daughter, Mary Lou Armstrong of Mattapoisett; 2 sisters, Meredith Harrington of Danvers and Priscilla MacDougall and her husband Hugh of Randolph; a sister-in-law, Mary Ann Landry of Chicago; 8 grandchildren, Jacqulyn, William, Amber, Kayla, Peter, Jake, Madisen and Jack; 3 great-grandchildren, Iviana, Peter and Evan; several nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Ronald Landry and the brother-in-law of the late Paul Harrington.
His Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, January 31st at 11 AM in St. Anthony's Church, 22 Barstow St., Mattapoisett. Visiting hours are omitted. Arrangements are with the Saunders-Dwyer Mattapoisett Home For Funerals, 50 County Rd. (Rt. 6) Mattapoisett. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Southcoast Hospice, 200 Mill Rd., Fairhaven, MA 02719.
