Mrs. Balutis died Thursday morning at her home after a brief illness. Born and raised in Boston, she was a daughter of the late Corey and Gertrude (Lamb) Warren. She was a graduate of Hyde Park High School Class of 1936. Mrs. Balutis had been a Brockton resident for the past 5 years and previously lived in Waltham and Cambridge. During WW II she served as a WAVE in the US Navy. At the time of her retirement, she was a Customer Service Representative atHarvard Trust Co. in Cushing Square in Belmont. She taught line dancing for the Belmont Senior Citizens, and was an active member at St. Andrews Episcopal Church in Belmont. She is survived by a son John P. “Jack” Balutis and his wife Janet of Bridgewater and a daughter Virginia “Ginny” Adams of Brockton, 6 grandchildren, John and Scott Balutis; Jodie (Shaffer) French; Jeffrey Shaffer; Jacqueline and Robert Adams, 3 great grandchildren Kaitlin, Abby and Steven a sister Shirley Lutze of Bradenton, FL, and many nieces and nephews. She was the wife of the late John V. Balutis and sister of the late Beatrice Fluharty, Marjorie Murphy and Janet SargentServices as above
