Judith A. Gorrie, 63, of Derry, NH died Monday January 26, 2009 in the Elliot Hospital, Manchester, NH. Judy was born in Exeter, NH on June 29, 1945, daughter of the late James and Ethel (Laronde) Watson. She was a lifelong resident of Derry. Judy was employed for many years at Filenes Department Store in Manchester where she worked as a Chanel cosmetic counter manager. She is best remembered for her radiant smile. Judy was dedicated to her children, her two proudest accomplishments. She loved to read and travel, and enjoyed spending time at the beach in Wells, ME.
She is survived by her husband, Ronald Gorrie of Nashua, NH, one son, Thomas J. Gorrie and his wife Kristin of Derry, one daughter, Jill K. Gorrie and her boyfriend Wolfgang Baeumler of NYC, NY, two granddaughters, Bridget and Dana Gorrie both of Derry, one sister, Martha Gratton of Derry, and her beloved cat, Snicks.
Following cremation, calling hours were held on Thursday January 29, 2009 from 5 – 8pm in Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. Memorial services were held on Friday at 10:30am in First Parish Church, Hampstead Rd., E. Derry.
