Obituary

Curtis Eggleston Moussie, age 83, of North Stonington, passed away Thursday at Westerly Hospital.

Mr. Moussie was born in North Stonington on January 12, 1926 the son of Charles and Ethel C. (Eggleston) Moussie. He was married to Angelina Giamo Moussie in North Stonington in 1943.

He enjoyed a long distinguished career as a Photographer and Portraiture Artist in the area. Much of his work, inspired by local society and landscape, graced numerous magazines and covers throughout the world. In earlier years, he assisted his late mother in the operation of the family business, the former Dew Drop Inn.

He was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Pawcatuck and the North Stonington Congregational Church.

In addition to his wife of 65 years, he is survived by his son, Curtis E. Moussie II and wife Katherine Marie of N. Stonington; his granddaughters, Kyra Lee Moussie, and Trene’ Marie Galluci and husband Timothy; and great granddaughters, Alexa Marie Galluci and Savannah JoAnne Galluci. He was predeceased by a granddaughter, Tarna Lee Moussie.

Per his request, his family gathered Monday for a private service at Union Cemetery in North Stonington.
