Gary Gaudiello, 57, of Kingston, formerly of New Bedford, died Saturday January 24, 2009 at Caritas Norwood Hospital after a long illness. He was the husband of Susan J. (Govoni) Gaudiello.
Born in Chester, PA, the son of Elizabeth (McKenna) Blouin of Fairhaven and the late Joseph Gaudiello, he lived in New Bedford for most of his life.
Gary was formerly employed as a commercial fisherman in New Bedford, Alaska, Virginia, and North Carolina.
He was an accomplished artist. He enjoyed cooking and watching the Food Network. He loved spending time at the beach with his wife.
Survivors include his wife and mother; two children, Anthony J. Gaudiello and Alicia Gaudiello, both of New Bedford; two stepchildren, Andrea Govoni of Quincy and Christopher Govoni of Braintree; his siblings, James Gaudiello of Huron, OH, Denise Gaudiello of Fairhaven, and Christine Benner of New Bedford; a grandson, Aiden; and many nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Richard and Christopher Gaudiello, and stepson of the late Lester Blouin.
