WORCESTER___Robert R. Boucher, 73, of 162 Ingleside Ave, died Friday January 23, 2009 in his home.
He leaves his wife of 48 years, Gloria (Chilberto) Boucher, a daughter, Roberta M. Rainey of Worcester; two grandchildren, Kayla M. Rainey and Todd M. Rainey, his mother, Emma Boucher of Rhode Island; two brothers and two sisters, George and Roland Boucher, Barbara Ellison and Sandra Chausse, his Godchild and niece Gladys Barrett and her husband Shawn Barrett and several nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by a brother, Noel Boucher and a sister, Shirley Hill. He was born in Southbridge. His father, Noel Boucher died in 1970.
Mr. Boucher was a truck driver and foreman for Rome Building Products and worked there 27 years before retiring in 1995. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. Robert was a member of St. Stephen Church and graduated from Leicester High School.
The funeral will be held on Wednesday, January 28 from DIRSA-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton Street, with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. in St. Stephen Church, 357 Grafton Streer. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours in the funeral home are Tuesday, January 27 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
