EDWIN F. SINES, age 80, a resident of Hingham for the past 45 years, died on Saturday, Jan. 24th at the South Shore Hospital in Weymouth. Mr. Sines was born in Braintree and spent his early life in Hough's Neck, Quincy. He served with the Merchant Marine, was a truck driver and member of Teamsters Union Local 25, and prior to his retirement, worked for 14 years for the Hingham Tree & Park Dept.
He was the beloved husband of Dorothy A. (Houle) Sines of Hingham; and devoted father of Kathleen McGrath and Ross of Weymouth, Deborah Buccheri and her husband Steve of Rockland, Susan Freeland and her husband John of Abington, Edward Sines and his wife Theresa of Kingston, Bryan Sines and his wife Carolyn of So. Weymouth, Wayne Sines and Paul Sines both of Hingham. Brother of Helen Stetler of Florida, Warren Sines and Beverly Kidney both of Quincy, the late Frank and the late Richard Sines. Also survived by 7 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Thursday, Jan. 29th at 10 AM from the Downing Cottage Funeral Chapel, 21 Pond St., Hingham. Funeral Mass at St. Paul's Church, 147 North St., Hingham Square at 11 AM.
Friends may visit at the Downing Chapel on Wednesday from 5-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
Interment in St. Paul's Cemetery, Hingham.
